1. In the evening, cleanse the skin and dry thoroughly.
2. Apply a thin layer to the pigmented areas, or to the whole face if advised by your skin therapist. Avoid the eye contour area, lips and any irritated or broken skin.
3. Start with 2 to 3 evenings per week, increasing gradually as your skin tolerates it. A tingling sensation, mild redness or light flaking can occur in the early weeks.
4. Every morning without exception, apply a broad-spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen. UV exposure works directly against the results.
Tips:
- A course of about 3 months is typical for visible change in the look of discolouration. Be patient and consistent.
- Do not combine with other retinol or exfoliating acid products during the course; Mela Cream already contains retinol plus mandelic, salicylic and phytic acids.
- Not suitable for sensitive or very dry skin. Patch test before first use.
- Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and keep away from children.
- Reduce frequency if flaking or redness becomes uncomfortable, and buffer with Hyal Ceutic if needed.
- Persistent or changing pigmentation should always be checked by your GP or dermatologist before starting a brightening course.
