Scalp Exfoliating Shampoo
What does it do:
Targets build-up of dry skin cells on the scalp and helps calm ongoing irritation.
Use: 1 to 3 times per week, or as needed.
Free from: sulfates, fragrance, and added colourants.
Colour note: Selenium sulfide naturally gives the formula an orange tint.
Key actives
Selenium sulfide: antifungal support
Salicylic acid 2%: BHA to lift build-up
Lactic acid 2%: AHA to smooth the scalp surface
Use:
On wet hair, gently massage into the scalp and targeted areas. Leave on for 2 to 3 minutes, then rinse.
Repeat for an extra cleanse if desired.
Finish with a thorough rinse and pat dry.

1. Wet your hair and scalp thoroughly.
2. Apply the shampoo and lather by gently massaging into the scalp and affected areas.
3. Leave the lather on for 2 to 3 minutes so the exfoliating acids and selenium sulfide can work.
4. Rinse. Repeat the lather step for further exfoliation and cleansing if required.
5. Rinse thoroughly and dry gently.
Tips:
- Introduce it gradually, starting once a week, and build to up to three times weekly as your scalp tolerates it. Reduce frequency if you notice dryness or irritation.
- Keep it out of the eyes and rinse well with water if contact occurs.
- The orange colour is natural, from selenium sulfide; no colours are added. Rinse thoroughly to avoid residue.
- Patch test first if your scalp is very sensitive, as the formula contains 2% salicylic acid and 2% lactic acid.
- On other wash days use a gentle shampoo, or Propaira Seb Derm Anti Dandruff Shampoo if your scalp is also itchy and prone to dandruff.
- If scalp scaling, redness or itch persists or worsens, see your GP or dermatologist.
- Salicylic Acid 2%: an oil soluble exfoliating acid that helps loosen dead skin cells and flakes on the scalp
- Lactic Acid 2%: a gentle alpha hydroxy acid that supports smooth scalp texture
- Selenium Sulfide: an antifungal agent, and the natural source of the shampoo's orange colour
- Niacinamide: supports a calm, comfortable looking scalp
- Panthenol (Pro Vitamin B5): conditions the hair and scalp
- Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Seed Oil: softens and nourishes
