1. Shake well before use. On first use the airless pump needs around 25 presses to load the cream into the pipeline.
2. Apply a thin layer to the face, neck and areas of concern, once a day at night.
3. Follow with a moisturiser if your skin feels dry.
Introduce it gradually, per Propaira's guidance: week 1, apply every 3 days; week 2, every 2 days; week 3 onwards, daily as tolerated.
Tips:
- Patch test for 24 hours before first use.
- Wear a broad spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen every morning; retinol can increase sun sensitivity.
- Do not layer with exfoliating acids or vitamin C on the same night; alternate instead.
- Some dryness, flaking or mild redness while your skin adapts is normal. Buffer with moisturiser, slow the ramp-up, and let skin settle before continuing.
- Avoid the eye area, lips and corners of the nose. Avoid waxing treated areas.
- Retinol is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding; speak to your doctor.
- If you are new to retinol, start with Propaira Retinol Plus Cream 0.25% before moving to this strength.
- Encapsulated Retinol 1%: a high-strength pure retinol, encapsulated for gradual release, to help smooth the look of fine lines, wrinkles, uneven tone and sun-damaged looking skin.
- Niacinamide 5%: supports the skin barrier and helps calm the look of the skin while it adjusts.
- Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil and Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Extract: antioxidant support.
