What does it do:
Retinaldehyde: A potent retinoid, 11 times more effective than retinol, and a direct precursor to retinoic acid for improved tolerability.
Niacinamide: Helps correct uneven skin tone and dark spots.
Lactobacillus Ferment Filtrate: Supports skin health and renewal.
Licorice Root Extract: Known for brightening properties and reducing pigmentation.
Use:
Apply a thin layer to affected areas in the evening. Follow with Propaira Sunscreen before sun exposure.

1. In the evening, cleanse and pat the skin completely dry.
2. Apply a thin layer to the areas of visible discolouration, or over the whole face for general tone.
3. Start with 2 to 3 nights per week for the first fortnight, then build up gradually to nightly as your skin tolerates it.
4. Follow with a moisturiser if your skin feels dry.
5. Every morning, apply a Propaira SPF50+ sunscreen. Daily SPF is essential with any retinoid and with any pigmentation routine.
Tips:
- Patch test on the inner forearm or behind the ear before first use.
- Retinaldehyde is a step closer to retinoic acid than retinol, so treat it with respect: use a pea sized amount for the whole face, and expect possible mild dryness or flaking in the first weeks. Ease off frequency if this occurs, then rebuild.
- Do not layer it on the same night as exfoliating acids or the Niaben Mask. Alternate nights instead.
- Avoid this product if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding, as retinoids are not recommended during this time.
- Have new or changing dark patches checked by your GP or dermatologist before starting, and follow their guidance on frequency.
